So anyone who knows me would understand why I might be inclined to start a blog. I have strong opinions, and I love to share them. I find that a week hardly goes by without me witnessing something either in the news or in my life that doesn't get me worked up. Therefore, I have decided to start this blog. And even though I doubt that anyone will ever really read this, I do it for my own sanity. At least this way, I can read my thoughts and actually agree with someone.
Being a Conservative Republican in college is a tough life. This is the age where many kids are letting feelings (and inhibitions) run wild. Partying, drinking, flings, and saving the world from the big, bad Republicans seems to be a staple of the college experience. So it is interesting to observe my fellow classmates from a different point of view. I spend much of my time trying to keep my opinions to myself, as many students tend to lean left (while some have practically fallen over from leaning so far). But I'm tired of trying to downplay my ideas. I'm a Conservative, both financially and socially. I'm proud of that fact. I let my religious beliefs guide me on some issues, while common sense leads me the rest of the time. And I find that both have served me well so far.
My goal with this blog is not to cause controversy or offense. I do not hate people, whether I agree with them and their actions or not. I simply want to express my own opinions. In doing so, I hope to either give people a different way to view an issue, or to give them someone to agree with. I think that many people out there, especially college students may hold the same beliefs. But because most people are afraid to be ridiculed for having these right-wing beliefs, they do not speak up. Well, I'm here to provide a voice. One tiny stone can cause giant ripples. Conservatives unite! I believe that there are more out there than people realize. They just need a ripple...
